A strong foundation and a great network
The organization was founded by a number of well-known and well-regarded scientists from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in collaboration with leading staff from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The main sponsor of CeSOS is the Research Council of Norway. The board group consists of key persons from NTNU and from leading Norwegian research institutes such as Marintek, SINTEF and DNV. CeSOS staff Researchers from all over the world are engaged in the ongoing activities at the Centre. Our permanent staff is itself a mosaic of 16 different countries. Interested in a position at CeSOS or NTNU? The centre is particularly dedicated to recruiting competent young researchers for postdoctoral studies, as well as the education of new PhD candidates.
