An important aim for research centres is to achieve synergy by close cooperation between researchers in different disciplines, between seniors and juniors and between personnel with different ethnic and professional backgrounds. As well as internal cooperation, CeSOS emphasises cooperation with partners such as other units of NTNU, Marintek and SINTEF, and with our international partners. Cooperation is particularly important in connection with the emerging research efforts on offshore wind and wave energy, reflected in several cooperative units established in offshore renewable energy.
